Cooking Directions


Tip: Gochujang is a Korean fermented red hot pepper paste. In Step 1, add gochujang to your preferred spiciness level.


Marinate Pork

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together GF soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, sugar, 2 tbsp. hot water and gochujang to taste.
  • Drain sliced pork and pat dry with paper towel.
  • Add pork to marinade separating meat and mix well.
  • Wash hands with hot soapy water.

Warm Tortillas

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Dip each tortilla in a bowl of cold water, then place into the hot skillet.
  • Warm for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then flip to warm the other side.
  • Wrap in a clean towel or foil to keep warm.

Cook Pork

  • In same skillet reduce heat to medium and add marinated pork.
  • Cook for about 4–6 minutes, or until golden, crispy, and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Prepare Slaw

  • Wash green onion and Thai basil.
  • Slice green onion into ½ inch rounds.
  • Pick basil leaves.
  • In medium bowl, stir together mayonnaise, rice vinegar, honey, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Add slaw mix and half of both toasted sesame seeds and green onion.
  • Toss everything together to mix well. 


  • Divide tortillas onto large plates.
  • Layer slaw, pork, and basil onto each tortilla.
  • Garnish with remaining toasted sesame seeds and green onion.
  • Enjoy!
